Black History Bootcamp: The Prayer Edition
Listen to Black History Bootcamp: The Prayer Edition
In October 2020, almost a million Black women covered the streets of America in prayer. We did it together through a “walking podcast” called Black History Bootcamp, The Prayer Edition. We sought God’s face before we launched our new global agenda to increase the life expectancy of Black women by 10 years in 10 years. All of this, just days before the most pivotal presidential election of our lifetimes. It changed the atmosphere.

THE SPIRITUAL WARRIOR CHALLENGE: This is it. The SOS, the vanguard, AND the cavalry. We're about to do what everyone was afraid we’d do — activate every lesson of spiritual warfare that our mamas taught us. 900,000 Black women are taking to the streets on October 1st to unleash a wave of prayer through the streets of America. We walk for total healing. As a personal protest against everything that came to kill us and failed. It will be an all-out street revival. It's called Black History Bootcamp. All you have to do is take a walk outside for 21 days. As we walk, we tune in to a 30-minute podcast to hear stories from Black history. This edition will countdown 21 people who practiced radical love in difficult times. I'm in. I am tagging @INSERTNAME and @INSERTNAME to join me on the frontlines of this powerful movement for healing and liberation led by @GirlTrek. Be counted at http://bit.ly/BHBC3_PrayerEdition. Once you're in, copy this entire message, tag the spiritual warriors in your life and let’s make this go viral. #blackhistorybootcamp #spiritualwarriorschallenge
Thank you for taking action. You know the stakes. In 40 days, we will experience the most pivotal shift of power this government has seen this decade. But I know a power that is greater. I know a rock that is higher. I know the God of Fannie Lou Hamer. The "This Little Light of Mine" God. The "stony the road we trod" God. The "Victory is Mine" God. This is our country and we plead the blood.
In this edition of Bootcamp, we will hold up women like Diamond Reynolds who summons the courage to press play on Facebook so that Philando Castille would not die in vain... God grant us that courage. Or Ieshia Evans who stood with complete equanimity as police officers advanced in riot gear. I want that peace. And we will investigate how Sabrina Fulton does it? How does she show up, day in and day out, with such grace, such love, and presence — like a Black Madonna — when the entire world knows her son Trayvon's name. These women are warriors, way-makers. And from them, we will learn how to activate radical love in the fight for justice.
Our foremothers BEEN told us to pray. And Ephesians made it plain:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God... having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."
This is for the saints. We need you. The church folk. The prayer warriors. Every denomination. The choir and the usher board. This is for believers of all faiths. This is also for the backsliders, the heavy laden, the faithless, and the hurt. Those who through hook or crook found a divine way to source light in the most unthinkable circumstances. You are welcome here.
Please tell your people to tell their people. Help us spread the word.
